For $20 per day to guests, local charity Halo House Foundation has now provided more than 20,000 days of housing to cancer patients battling leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma who travel from the greater Houston area, around Texas and the country for treatment at the Texas Medical Center.
The patients who come to the TMC for treatment do so because it is either not available locally or they’ve been told by their local doctor that coming to the TMC is their best chance of survival.
