2017 Gala

The 7th annual Halo House Gala was held at The Ballroom at Bayou Place, 500 Texas Avenue, Houston Texas, on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

The 007-themed evening began at 6:00 with cocktails and a fabulous silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and entertainment by the David Caceres Band.

The event was great fun for a great cause! Thank you to all of the sponsors and attendees for supporting Halo House and helping to make our work possible!

Gala Honorees

Anne and Dr. John Mendelsohn

One of Halo House’s proudest moments came when we received a letter of congratulations and support from one of the world’s most renowned cancer doctors, John Mendelsohn. Shortly after we first opened our doors, Dr. Mendelsohn, then President of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, sent a letter expressing his confidence that the assistance provided to patients by the Halo House Foundation would emulate MD Anderson’s core values of caring, integrity and discovery. His support during the infancy of the foundation was invaluable and inspired us to do more.

This year we were both humbled and proud to welcome Anne and John Mendelsohn as our honorees at the 2017 Halo House Gala. This dynamic duo has dedicated their lives to conquering cancer.
