Food Fight Against Cancer – Sunday, November 3, 2013
It was a night of bliss for Houston’s “foodies.” On Sunday, November 3rd, the chefs from Uchi, Sparrow Bar, Sorrel Urban Bistro, Pondicheri & Indika, Pass & Provisions, and Radical Eats came together to showcase delicious, cancer-fighting foods and compete for the unique “Golden Carrot” award designed and created by local Houston artist, John Clark. Chef Staci Davis of Radical Eats created the winning dish: Pho with Maitake Mushrooms.
Competition was fierce! Each restaurant created their own delicious dish comprising of cancer fighting ingredients and provided samples of their creations to all guests. All Food Fight proceeds will be used to provide meals to Halo House patients and caregivers.
